One of Italyâ most important astronomical parks, the Torre del Sole at Brembate di Sopra near Bergamo (Lombardy), is staging a programme of special events to mark International Year of Astronomy 2009. A series of lectures and special events will take place between the 5 th to 29 th June, based on the theme: In the Footsteps of Galileo. A five lesson course for newcomers to this fascinating science is also in the programme.
