Four Italian cities are involved in a gourmet initiative promoted by the Parma Ham Consortium (Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma) this spring 2011, aimed at highlighting the famous Emilia Romagna speciality as an ideal healthy fast food for busy lunches and take away dinners.

The cities involved are: Milan (21-24 March), Palermo (4.7 April), Bari (2-5 May) and Naples (16-19 May) where Parma ham will be served in various city restaurants at lunchtime and during evening Happy Hours, with the help of a specialized delicatessen grocer on the spot to slice the ham fresh.
