documentary “Slow Food Story”, directed by Stefano Sardo, and recently
presented at the Berlin Film Festival, will shortly be released for the general
public in Italian cinemas nation wide.<o:p></o:p></font></span></p>

recounts the history of the Slow Food movement, created by Italian journalist,
Carlo Petrini and launched in 1989 as a counter revolution to the Fast Food
culture, which had just been introduced to Italy. The movement now exists in
150 countries and has transformed the concept of gastronomy, reviving
traditional “slow” regional cooking<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>and
encouraging food production diversity by helping farmers to specialize and
