A must for John Lennon fans: the Palazzo Margherita Civic Gallery of Modena is staging a tribute to the Beatles' musician and composer, which includes Big One, the series of 14 lithographs created by Lennon and exhibited in 1970. The series portrayed himself and his wife Yoko Ono in poses that were considered too explicitly erotic for the times and were withdrawn from public view by Scotland Yard.
Other little-seen material on show includes documentation on the anti-war film How I won the War, directed by Richard Lester, with Lennon appearing in his mythical role of the soldier Gripweed.
The exhibition: All You Need is Love. John Lennon, the Artist, Actor, Performer is on till the 20 October 2013.
