Josè Rallo, CEO of the Sicilian wine company Donnafugata, acted as official hostess for the Bio-Mediterranean Cluster pavilion at EXPO 2015 during the opening week of the mega-event. The pavilion groups the island of Sicily with ten other Mediterranean countries, namely: Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Greece, Lebanon, Malta, Montenegro, San Marino, Serbia and Tunisia. The pavilion takes the form of a typical Mediterranean town, grouped round a central piazza with four buildings exhibiting the typical gastronomic products of each country, with the focus on organic farming and the cultivation of grain, olives and vines. The Cluster theme is Mediterranean culture, summed up in the triple values of Beauty, Health and Harmony.Donnafugata was one of the first Sicilian wine producers to put quality Sicilian wines on the map and remains a leader in top class Italian wines and marketing techniques.
