Not to be missed: the major exhibition of 14th century masterpieces of Umbria art on show until the 4 November 2018. The seventy paintings, sculptures and miniatures, many with dazzling gold leaf decorations are spread over four different venues: Trevi, (Museum of San Francesco), Spoleto (the Diocese Museum and the National Museum) and the Museum Complex of San Francesco at Montefalco, while guided itineraries of the area can be booked at Scheggino (Spazio Arte Valcasana).

The exhibition includes famous works by Giotto, Simone Martini, Pietro Lorenzetti and others, many of which can be seen for the first time in their original environment. Others, divided between different museum collections, are united for the first time in centuries, such as the "Coronation of the Virgin by the Maestro di Cesi" triptych and the "Crucifixion with Christus Triumphons", both originally painted for the Monastery of Santa Maria della Stella in Spoleto, and presently divided between the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris and the Ducal Museum of Spoleto.
