ITALIAN WINES IN THE PINK
Italian wine producers have instituted Rosautoctono, the Institute for Italian Autocthonous Rosè wines, to protect the image of Made in Italy rosč. With "pinks" becoming increasingly important in world export markets, Italy aims to make its mark with wines from exclusive native Italian grapes to guarantee authenticity and variety. The main Italian rosè producers are in the region of Lake Garda, Puglia, Abruzzo and Calabria.
Last year, 2018, sales of French rosč in the USA have gone up by 23.3%, while Italian pinks increased by 17%. With Rosautoctono producers hope to reduce this gap
