the Park hotel Laurin, situated in the heart of Bolzano (Trentino-Alto Adige region), recently elected Historic Hotel of 2010 by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio of Bolzano, the regions leading bank, is a classic example of the Grand Hotel of the Belle Epoque. Constructed in 1909/1910 by entrepreneur Maximilian Staffler, grandfather of the present owners, it is a magnificent building in Liberty style surrounded by a vast park of 4000 sqm, where guests can dine al fresco in summer.
Completely renovated for Millenium year 2000 by Viennese architect Boris Podrecca with the Bolzano architect Albert Mascotti, it has been lifted out of the 20 th century and given a 21 st century touch, with Its 100 rooms all individually fitted out with exclusive design furnishings and original creations by contemporary artists. Its original fascinating atmosphere has been preserved in the restaurant with its palm court, the sweeping stairway with its wrought iron balustrade, the frescoed walls of the Bar Laurin and the splendid garden, full of great trees, secluded walks and carefully tended flower beds.
The hotel is also equipped with a conference centre for 160 participants.
