SIENA AND STARS SUMMER SHOW
Between the 10 July-2 August 2013, Siena (Tuscany) puts on a dazzling show of evening entertainment against the splendid backdrop of Piazza Duomo. The Siena and Stars event involves dozens of international artistes belonging to the worlds of popular music, opera, theatre, jazz and dance spread over a programme of sixteen different open air performances.
The medieval city of Siena, famous for its âalio horse race, is a candidate for the title European Capital of Culture 2019, competing with another Italian city, Urbino (Marches), the birthplace of Raphael.
