Between the 2nd - 4th May 2015, Tuscany gives Milan a taste of its big food event, IN Piazza a Firenze programmed a couple of weeks later on the 22nd -24th May in Florence itself. The event centres round one of Tuscany's big attractions of local foods, with a fair of gastronomic products typical of the region running for the entire three days in the Chiostri Umanitaria venue near the Duomo.
Top chefs will be exhibiting their culinary skills at several showcooking appointments, while the closing day trains the spotlight on street food, with the traditional Tuscan lampredotto, served from a street stall by the trippaio. This humble tripe sandwich lhas now become a celebrated treat, not to be missed on any trip to the Tuscany capital.
