The Cento Corvi wine estate of Cerveteri (Lazio) was recently given a special nomination by the Gruppo del Gusto (Gourmet Group) of the foreign press in Italy for reviving the ancient wine-making traditions of the Etruscans. The Kantaros line of wines, developed by the Collacciani family of Cento Corvi , is based on an old vine stock acclaimed by Virgil and subsequently lost for hundreds of years. Kantaros, in fact, is marketed with the slogan: The wine born before Rome.
Cento Corvi is an award-winning estate, holding prizes gained in Vinitaly, Italys most important annual wine fair, and honoured, among others, by the Slow Food organization.
