Celebrated Spanish artist Santiago Morilla is to create one of his landscape images inside the spectacular Trugiano marble quarry, Carrara (Tuscany) on the 24 April 2013. The public will be able to watch the first stage of the work, entitled Index Falls, inspired by the the present state of the financial market. Experimental live music will accompany the performance, along with an aperitif served with the famous local Colonnato lardo IGP, which is traditionally seasoned in basins of Carrara marble.

Morilla will continue his creation in neighbouring Pulcinacchia and Campanili quarries. However, the public will be unable to follow him there for safety reasons. The photos and videos appertaining to the art work will be exhibited between the 25 May-31 August 2013 at the Marmo di Carrara Civic Museum.
