Twelve major wine cellars of Rome, Frosinone and Latina throw open their doors on Sunday, 10th November 2013 for the San Martino Cantine Aperte event. Anyone is welcome to come, taste and admire the results of the recent grape harvest.
Most of the wineries are within a 40 km radius of Rome, with the furthest away at 100 kms, and are set in peaceful rural surroundings, so the trip makes an ideal family outing. Many are provided with picnic areas and gastronomic food stalls Two of the participants ˝ De Sanctis at Frascati and La Luna del Casale at Lanuvio - produce organic wine.
