Almost very evening throughout the months of July and August, recitals of sacred music are performed in some of Milan's most beautiful old churches during the Milano ArteMusica International Festival of Ancient Music, organized by the Cultural Association La Cappella Musicale. The programme lists both Italian and international musicians and choirs, including the Westminster Cathedral Choir (UK) in the Basilica of Santa Maria della Passione, the Orthodox Patriarch of Moscow choir in Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Tallis Scholars at the Basilica of San Simpliciano, the Ars Antiqua Austria in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, at the Ambrosiana Library and the closing concert with Norwegian Soloists' choir ďż˝ Accademia Bizantina in the Basilica di Santa Maria della Passione.

Solo performers include Christopher Coin, Ottavio Dantone, Alfredo Bernardini, Takashi Watanabe, Jos van Immerseel, Michael Radulescu, Mara Galassi, Marcello Gatti, Florian Birsak, Massimo Lonardi, Benjamin Alard and singers Martin Vanberg, Christian Immler, Delphine Galou and Lenneke Ruiten.
