For the next two months, the wines of southern Italy will be available at a series of nine different venues for tastings and entertainment. With the slogan the wines that have made the South great, the annual Radici del Sud (Roots of the South) event kicked off in the Bari area at the Bistrot Aromi, Sannicandro, on the 15th March 2016.
On the 23rd March it moves to Florence at the Caffè Bookshop Todo Modo, where the evening will be dedicated to three great reds: Aglianico, Negroamaro and Gaglioppo. On the 24th April, the Primitivo wines will be celebrated at the Vinilia Castle Wine Resort in Manduria, near Taranto.
In May, the Aqua fish n'more restaurant at Porto Cesareo (Lecce) gives Negroamaro a special evening on the 10th. The tour ends in Apulia mid-May with the focus on Nero di Troia.
In addition, during May, problems of climatic change and its effect on wine production in Southern Italy will be examined during debates to be held in Palermo and Naples.
